The Growth Mindset Coach (K12)

For an educator, the next step after understanding the positive impact of a growth mindset is to bring that knowledge to the classroom. This is difficult, though, because Dweck’s work is a behavioral theory based on research and observation and does not focus on classroom implementation. So how do we teach it? In an article entitled, Dweck Revisits the Growth Mindset, Dweck says it best, “The path to a growth mindset is a journey, not a proclamation.”

In their book, The Growth Mindset Coach, Annie Brock and Heather Hundley outline the preparations and requirements needed for that journey. Both practical and teacher friendly, the book outlines methods you can use to model, teach and motivate your students to adopt a growth mindset throughout the school year.
